Structure and Function
1. Overall Structure
The operating mechanism and arc-extinguishing chamber are arranged in an integrated structure, with the main
conductive circuit being a three-phase floor-mounted type. The vacuum arc-extinguishing chamber is longitudinally
installed within an APG-processed epoxy resin tubular insulating cylinder, providing excellent creepage performance,
reducing dust accumulation on the arc-extinguishing chamber surface, avoiding the influence of external factors, and
ensuring good insulation even in humid and heavily polluted environments. The VS1-12 series is a fixed-installation
type, suitable for fixed switchgear, and can be used independently or applied to ring network power supply, box-type
transformer, and other systems.
2. Operating Mechanism
The Lateral Type Vacuum Circuit Breaker employs a planar spring-operated mechanism, supporting both manual and
electric energy storage. The operating motor is housed within the front cabinet of the arc-extinguishing chamber,
divided into five assembly spaces, each housing the energy storage, transmission, tripping, and buffer components.
The integrated design of the arc-extinguishing chamber and operating mechanism ensures a high degree of matching
between operational performance and the arc-extinguishing chamber's opening and closing requirements, reducing
intermediate steps, lowering energy consumption and noise, and improving the circuit breaker's operational
reliability.
Application Environment

requirements: ambient temperature -15℃ to +40℃; daily average relative humidity ≤95%, monthly average ≤90%; altitude
≤1000m; seismic intensity ≤8 degrees; and absence of significant dust, corrosive gases, or other pollution. Note:
Customization is required for applications exceeding these requirements upon prior consultation with the
manufacturer.
Installation and Commissioning
Lateral Type Vacuum Circuit Breakers undergo rigorous testing before leaving the factory. Before energizing the
primary circuit, the following preparations must be made:
1. Check the equipment for damage; if damaged, stop using it.
2. Clean the insulation surface of any contaminants.
3. Manually operate the energy storage and opening/closing functions, observing that the status is normal.
4. Operate using the operating power supply, confirming that the status is normal.
5. Advance/retract the handcart-type circuit breaker according to specifications, and confirm that the position
indicator is normal after reaching the correct position.
Note: When using a closing interlocking device, power must be connected to unlock it before closing.
