Low Voltage Switchgear

Usune Low Voltage Withdrawable Distribution Switchboard is designed for low-voltage power distribution systems where flexible circuit configuration, reliable current distribution and clear control arrangements are required. Based on a modular cabinet structure, the system can be configured for incoming power, outgoing feeders, motor control, capacitor compensation and other distribution functions according to project requirements.

Developed by Zhejiang Usune Electric Co., Ltd., the Low Voltage Withdrawable Distribution Switchboard is suitable for AC 50Hz systems with rated working voltage up to 400V and rated current up to 3150A. The design combines copper busbar distribution, configurable circuit breakers, organized secondary wiring and dedicated cable spaces to support different project layouts. Usune manufactures and supplies low-voltage switchgear solutions for power plants, substations, factories, mining facilities, commercial buildings and other power distribution projects in China and overseas markets.

Flexible Circuit Configuration

Different electrical loads require different feeder arrangements. The cabinet can be configured according to the power distribution diagram, allowing incoming circuits, outgoing circuits, motor feeders and reactive power compensation circuits to be arranged within the same low-voltage distribution system.

For larger distribution requirements, universal circuit breakers such as Emax, MT, 3WN, AH and ME series can be selected according to the project design. The configuration can also incorporate molded case circuit breakers, load switches and other electrical components based on the required current rating and protection scheme.

This configuration approach allows the equipment to be adapted to different power distribution architectures instead of relying on one fixed electrical arrangement.

Busbar System

The main busbar and branch busbars use electrolytic copper to provide a stable current-carrying path between incoming and outgoing circuits. Flame-retardant insulation and heat-shrinkable sleeves are applied to relevant busbar sections to improve insulation protection and maintain clear phase identification.

The busbar arrangement is designed according to the electrical drawing and rated current requirements. Flexible busbar connections can also be provided at the incoming connection between the bus bridge and the main circuit breaker where required by the project design.

For procurement teams, this configuration helps simplify the matching of the switchboard with upstream transformers, bus bridges and downstream feeder systems.

Cabinet Construction

The cabinet frame and internal partitions are manufactured from cold-rolled steel plates. The standard plate thickness is not less than 2 mm, providing sufficient mechanical strength for normal operation, inspection and maintenance.

The cabinet structure provides dedicated areas for electrical components, cable connections and secondary control wiring. Doors, operating handles, identification plates and internal labels are arranged according to the electrical design to make circuit identification easier during commissioning and maintenance.

A PE copper grounding bus runs along the cabinet arrangement direction. Components requiring grounding can be connected to this conductor, with dedicated grounding terminals provided for connection to the external grounding network.

Secondary Control

The secondary circuit is arranged according to the project drawings and control requirements. Control wiring uses flexible insulated copper conductors and is organized in bundles to provide a clean and maintainable internal wiring arrangement.

Control circuits generally use 1.5 mm² conductors, while AC current circuits use 2.5 mm² conductors, subject to the final engineering design. Flame-retardant terminal blocks are used, and wire numbers or circuit identification marks are provided to correspond with the electrical drawings.

For incoming cabinets, undervoltage trip protection can be incorporated into the circuit breaker protection arrangement. Indicator lights, control switches and measuring instruments can also be configured according to the function of each circuit.

Distribution Functions

The Low Voltage Withdrawable Distribution Switchboard can be configured for several common low-voltage power distribution functions. An incoming cabinet receives power from the upstream transformer or power source, while outgoing cabinets distribute electricity to downstream loads.

Motor control circuits can be arranged using large and small drawer configurations, with circuit breakers or fused rotary load switches selected according to the motor characteristics. Capacitor compensation cabinets can incorporate manual, automatic or remote reactive power compensation equipment.

This modular arrangement allows the same cabinet platform to support different electrical distribution tasks within one project.

Operating Conditions

The equipment is intended for indoor installation in environments without severe vibration, impact or corrosive conditions. The ambient temperature should remain between -10°C and +40°C, with the average temperature within 24 hours not exceeding +35°C.

The installation altitude is normally limited to 2000 m. At a maximum ambient temperature of +40°C, the relative humidity should not exceed 50%, while higher relative humidity may be permitted at lower temperatures according to the applicable environmental conditions.

The installation inclination should not exceed 5° from the vertical plane. If the equipment is required for special environments or operating conditions, the final configuration can be determined through technical consultation between Usune and the customer.

Protection Details

Electrical safety is addressed through both cabinet construction and circuit protection. Mechanical and electrical interlocking functions are incorporated according to the selected configuration to reduce operating errors.

The cabinet uses clearly identified circuit labels and component numbers, while the grounding system provides a dedicated PE copper bus for grounding connections. Cable compartments can be designed with sufficient space for cable heads and zero-sequence current transformer installation where required.

The front and rear doors are designed for stable opening and closing, while operating components are positioned to avoid interference with cabinet doors and handles.

Standards & Certification

Usune manufactures its low-voltage electrical equipment according to applicable IEC and GB requirements. Relevant standards include GB/T 14048.2, GB 7251.12 and applicable IEC requirements for low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies.

The production and management system is supported by ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications. The product can also be supplied with CE certification and relevant test documentation according to the project requirements.

These certifications and standards provide procurement teams with a documented basis for supplier evaluation, project approval and international purchasing.
