GGD Low Voltage Power Distribution Panel

Buyers of low-voltage power distribution projects rarely settle for an off-the-shelf cabinet. What counts most: current capacity, busbar reliability, protection coordination, wiring quality, maintenance access, and whether the equipment can be built to the actual distribution drawing. Zhejiang Usune Electric Co., Ltd. developed the GGD Low Voltage Power Distribution Panel around exactly these concerns—a practical solution for power conversion, distribution, measurement and control in 0.4kV AC systems.

Indoor power distribution is the focus of the GGD Low Voltage Power Distribution Panel, built for 50Hz rated frequency and rated working voltage up to 380/400V. Cabinet structure, copper busbars, control circuits and protection components can all be configured to suit project requirements. Power plants, substations, factories, mining enterprises, commercial buildings and other electrical distribution facilities are among the applications it serves.

GGD Low Voltage Power Distribution Panel

Distribution-Focused Design

Power Conversion

Our GGD Low Voltage Power Distribution Panel at Usune works as a centralized low-voltage distribution unit: it takes power from the upstream system and feeds multiple outgoing circuits serving equipment, lighting, motors, and other loads. Depending on the electrical single-line diagram, the cabinet can serve as an incoming cabinet, outgoing distribution cabinet, capacitor compensation cabinet, or another configuration—making integration into various industrial and commercial distribution networks straightforward.

Circuit Arrangement

Internal layout keeps major electrical components and control wiring separated per the project design. Universal circuit breakers, molded case circuit breakers, miniature circuit breakers, contactors, relays, meters, and other components can be chosen to match each circuit's function. Where customized component brands or specifications are required, we at Usune coordinate component selection with the buyer before production.

Internal Construction

Cabinet Frame — Cold-rolled steel plate forms the frame and partitions, with a reference thickness of ≥2mm and finished edges treated to reduce sharp edges during operation and maintenance. The structure delivers sufficient mechanical strength for normal operation while permitting access for inspection, wiring, and component replacement; front and rear doors are arranged for practical operation and maintenance.

Copper Busbars — Electrolytic copper is used for main and branch busbars, with insulation and heat-shrinkable protective materials applied to maintain required dielectric performance. Phase identification is provided, busbar joints are processed per the required electrical connection method, and a flexible busbar connection can be supplied where needed between the incoming bus bridge and the main circuit breaker.

Grounding System — A dedicated PE copper bus runs along the cabinet assembly direction. Components requiring grounding connect through the PE system, with grounding terminals provided for connection to the external grounding network. The cable compartment can also reserve sufficient space for cable heads and related current transformer installation per the project drawing.

Circuit Configuration

Incoming Circuits — Incoming cabinets can be fitted with universal circuit breakers and corresponding protection functions, including electric-operation circuit breakers with undervoltage trip protection and time-delay functions per the electrical design. Protection and control configuration follows project requirements rather than one fixed component combination.

Outgoing Circuits — Outgoing circuits can be arranged for different loads and distribution requirements, with circuit breakers, contactors, thermal relays, and terminal blocks selected according to each feeder's rated current and control requirements. The layout supports clear circuit identification, with device numbers and wiring labels positioned for easier inspection and maintenance.

Motor Control — For motor applications, the cabinet can integrate motor control circuits with appropriate switching and protection components. Start/stop indication lights and circuit identification on the cabinet panel help operators quickly identify individual motor circuits.

Control Wiring

Secondary Circuits — Secondary control circuits are wired per approved electrical drawings, with flexible conductors arranged in organized bundles and appropriate insulation and sleeves used where wiring passes through movable or mechanically exposed areas. Reference cross-sections include 1.5 mm² for control and AC voltage circuits and 2.5 mm² for AC current circuits, subject to the final electrical design.

Terminal Identification — Terminal blocks use flame-retardant components, and conductors are identified according to the circuit numbering or conductor direction shown on the drawings. Hand-written internal labels are avoided; circuit numbers and equipment identification are printed or hot-stamped for clearer long-term maintenance.

Our GGD Low Voltage Power Distribution Panel thus combines a distribution-focused structure with flexible circuit configuration to suit varied project needs.

Selection Guide

The GGD Low Voltage Power Distribution Panel is particularly suitable when the project requires a robust centralized distribution cabinet with a clear internal structure, copper busbar system and flexible selection of incoming, outgoing and control circuits.

For projects where rapid replacement of individual functional units is the primary requirement, a withdrawable configuration may be more appropriate. For simpler distribution networks with fewer circuit changes, a fixed-type cabinet can provide a more straightforward solution.

Usune can select the cabinet structure, circuit breakers, busbar arrangement, control components and internal wiring according to the project's single-line diagram and technical requirements.
